YOMA is currently seeking to hire 1-2 Junior Youth Facilitators.  This position is ideal for high school students age 16 and older who are energetic, creative and interested in working with youth.

A YOMA Junior Facilitator is:

  • Energetic, creative and attentive to the needs and interests of youth
  • Organized and meets deadlines
  • As good at the paperwork as the fun stuff with the youth
  • Able to manage their time efficiently

A YOMA Junior Facilitator:

  • Works with the YOMA Facilitators to plan creative programs for youth
  • Works with the Facilitators to coordinate logistics and run programs for youth

Assets in candidates

Though not required, YOMA does consider the following assets in a Facilitator

  • Experience working with youth
  • Experience creating activities for youth
  • Knowledge and understanding of youth issues
  • Knowledge and understanding of available resources for youth
  • First aid training

NOTE:  There is no public transit to Manotick at the times of the programs so candidates must have their own means of transportation.

YOMA welcomes volunteers all year.  Contact us if you are looking for ways to support YOMA and perhaps earn some needed volunteer hours for high school.  For most of these, you do not have to have been a part of any of YOMA’s programs to participate.
